Förderkreis für Gegenwartskunst im Kunstverein Bremen (Supporters’ Circle for Contemporary Art in the Kunstverein Bremen)

This supporter’s circle was founded on the initiative of a group of Kunstverein members who were especially committed to initiating and sponsoring displays of contemporary art at the Kunsthalle Bremen. In line with Bremen tradition, they are committed to promoting the cultural life of this city through private initiatives.

In 1971, a members’ circle of the Kunstverein was founded specifically to promote the presentation of contemporary art at the Kunsthalle Bremen, both financially and in terms of ideas. Every year, the Supporters’ Circle for Contemporary Art finances an exhibition of work by a contemporary artist. Furthermore, if possible one outstanding work from among those on display is acquired by the circle to enlarge the Kunstverein’s collection of contemporary art. Furthermore, the Supporters’ Circle is an animated forum for kindred spirits to view art together, travel, and visit artists’ studios and attend events.

The Sponsors’ Circle is headed by a voluntary spokesperson who changes every year.
The annual fees are € 470 for single members and € 700 for couples.

If you have any questions or if you would like to join us, please contact the current spokesperson for the Supporters’ Circle. The membership office would be happy to provide you with the necessary contact information.
